FileCheck employs state-of-the-art security technology and rigorous protocols to protect your clients' most sensitive personal information.

FileCheck is designed to collect sensitive client documents through a controlled, access-restricted system rather than through unsecured email attachments. All users authenticate through Google Identity Platform, business accounts can be protected with authenticator-app two-factor authentication, and client access is granted through signed, time-limited invitation links that are tied to a specific email address and application context. Client sessions are temporary, scoped only to the relevant application, and access can be revoked automatically when a token expires or an application is closed.

Documents are uploaded directly to Google infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored separately from permissions and workflow data so sensitive information is not kept together as one complete record. Files in storage are locked down from direct access, and viewing is only possible through a backend authorization check that issues a short-lived access link for the specific file. The platform also adds operational safeguards such as audit logging, least-privilege role access, rate limiting, malware scanning, and automatic data retention controls, making it materially safer than sending client documents back and forth as email attachments.
